Who decides
Each organizer decides whether their event is refundable. Whether refunds are available, and the cutoff, is shown on the event page and on your receipt before you pay. Check it before buying.
Refunding your own ticket
Where the organizer has enabled refunds, you can request one yourself:
- Open your receipt — the "view tickets" link in your confirmation email.
- Choose to refund the order.
You can do this while all of the following are true:
- the order is confirmed and has not already been refunded;
- the organizer has enabled refunds for that event;
- no ticket in the order has been scanned at the door;
- the refund cutoff has not passed. The cutoff is a number of hours before the event starts — currently [X] hours by default, though an organizer may set their own.
Refunds are issued in full to the original payment method. Depending on your bank, it can take five to ten business days to appear.
After the cutoff
Contact the organizer directly. Their contact details are on the event page. Organizers can issue a refund at any time at their discretion.
If an event is cancelled or changed
If an organizer cancels, you are entitled to a full refund of the ticket price.
If an event is postponed or materially changed, your ticket normally remains valid for the new date. If you cannot attend, contact the organizer.
Fees
[STATE WHETHER THE PLATFORM FEE IS REFUNDED — currently the platform fee is charged as part of the order total and is returned with a full refund. Confirm this is the intended commercial position before publishing.]
