CASL Notice
Last reviewed: [DATE].
Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) governs commercial electronic messages sent to Canadian recipients. This notice sets out how we comply.
Who is sending
Commercial email from this platform is sent by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS], [SUPPORT EMAIL].
What we send, and on what basis
Transactional messages — order confirmations, tickets, refund notices, event reminders, and messages about an event you hold a ticket to. These are sent because you bought a ticket. They are not commercial electronic messages requiring consent, and they continue while your ticket is live.
Marketing messages — news about upcoming events. We send these only with your express consent. You give that consent by ticking the marketing box at checkout or by opting in from your account. The box is never pre-ticked, and we record the date, time and source of each consent.
Withdrawing consent
Every marketing email contains an unsubscribe link that works without signing in and takes effect promptly, and in any case within 10 business days as CASL requires. You can also manage the setting from your account, or write to [SUPPORT EMAIL].
Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop transactional messages about tickets you hold.
Records
We keep a record of when and how each consent was given, and when it was withdrawn, so we can evidence it if asked.
